Join the Campaign for our Community to support all Okemo snow sports athletes; we're excited to dream big about the future of OMS and Okemo snow sports competition programs with our annual campaign.

Our Okemo athletes had an amazing 2023-24 season and are already busy training for this winter. I am so proud of their passion, perseverance, and teamwork. Every year their dedication results in incredible personal growth and development. At OMS, each student-athlete strives for their personal best in a supportive team environment. It is inspiring to watch them meet and exceed their goals.

The Campaign for our Community is aimed at elevating our programs and continually providing more for all of Okemo’s competitive snow sports athletes. Your generosity enhances every athlete’s experience through committed coaching, individualized academics, and an encouraging community. Once again, Okemo snow sports athletes competed at the National level in all disciplines. Additionally, Sumner Orr, class of 2024, continues to compete on the US Rookie Halfpipe Team. We gratefully acknowledge the support of everyone who donated in 2023 and hope we can count on your support in 2024!

Okemo Mountain School’s highly trained, committed, and passionate coaches work with OMS and Competition Center athletes. Every coach is certified and is constantly learning through continuing education and professional development. In turn, they share this knowledge with the Competition Center coaches. To recruit and retain top quality coaches, we need your help! Keeping Okemo Mountain School strong benefits the entire Okemo Snow Sports Competition Community and supports the dreams and aspirations of all of the athletes. Okemo Mountain School is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational institution and all gifts may qualify as charitable deductions. A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you for being a part of this remarkable snow sports community.

With warm regards,

Mariel Meringolo
Head of School, Okemo Mountain School
U12 and U10 Head Coach, Okemo Competition Center

OMS opened my world to new connections that still last to this day. Having gone to a tiny public school in Vermont, meeting new kids and parents through OMS was huge for me. I’m still close with many of those friends, and have intersected with many (plus their parents) in the business world too.
— Connor Davis, Alpine Ski Racing, OMS Alumni
One of the best parts of OMS is the community. Our team has been together for many years. I have spent a large part of my life traveling, competing, and learning with my teammates and I am confident they will be my lifelong friends. I am so grateful for the adventures we have had together and look forward to the next chapter.
— Carter Robinson, Alpine, Class of 2023
OMS has provided me with a unique opportunity. Ski racing is a special sport. It has brought me all around the world, given me countless extraordinary experiences and unforgettable memories, and shaped me into who I am. I can’t thank the OMS community enough for how many doors it has opened for me and will continue to in the future.
— Graham Stein, Alpine, Class of 2023

The Impact of Annual Giving

I love OMS because I get to snowboard everyday, both at Okemo and at other mountains. My coaches are really nice, supportive, and challenge me to do my best. I also like the small classes and the teachers. I have met really good friends who are both skiers and snowboarders.
— Zinn Knaack, Snowboard, Class of 2030
“OMS is an amazing community that has helped me, not only with my skiing and academics, but also throughout season-ending injuries. The teachers and coaches are always offering support and encouragement. OMS has played an important role in my recovery and I am so grateful for this community!”
— -Emily Ahlcrona, Freeski, Class of 2026
I love OMS because I have learned so much about time management skills and balance. I was able to learn from my coaches, teachers, and friends and this variety of learning led me to become a better athlete, student and person.
— Riley Keane, Alpine Ski Racing, Class of 2025
